History Society

We meet at 8 pm in St Bartholomew’s Church on the first Wednesday of every month apart from a break in the summer. There is a £2.00 contribution to costs for every evening attended or Annual Subscription of £15.00 for ten meetings.

Strictly non-denominational we are interested in the social history of the village from 4000 BC to today. Each month we have a short talk on a wide variety of subjects followed by Tea/Coffee. This social gathering afterwards can include today’s gossip, today’s plans and yesterday’s history.

The Committee is always pleased to hear of any interesting fact or facet about Wigginton or the immediate area. Please speak to a Committee member, bring photographs for scanning and returning, memorabilia & artifacts are welcome.
